Adventures of a girl on a budget
Myanmar, formally Burma, is a unique country in South East Asia. Because it is the country to most recently opened to western influences, the culture has been preserved more than its very touristy neighbor Thailand. In Myanmar, visitors have the chance to explore large cities, both Mandalay and Yangon. Some of the oldest religious structures in this part of the world are housed there. You can also find beautiful architecture and temples throughout the country. The plain of Bagan, an overnight bus ride away from either city, is an adventurer’s dream. Ancient temples rise out of the darkness at sunrise while hot air balloons dot the landscape in the background. Honestly, witnessing sunrise there is one of the most magical moments I have ever witnessed. Read my posts for ideas and travel inspiration!
