TownePlace Suites Denver: A Review

On a recent trip to Denver, I lucked out with a great deal on a hotel through Priceline. When planning the trip, I decided to try Priceline Express to find a deal on a hotel. I chose the amount of stars and location I wanted, and they gave me a list of a few options. The catch was that I did not know the exact address or hotel name until I after I booked it. I could not resist when I found an option downtown for only $70 a night. Once I had paid, I found out I was staying at Towneplace Suites Denver, a branch of the Marriott hotel located near downtown Denver.

The Room

With our Priceline deal, we booked a studio suite in the hotel. The studio suite featured a bathroom, a queen size bed, a living room area, and a kitchen. The living room couch also pulled out into a bed, which our friends made use of during our trip. The living room and sleeping area were both spacious and comfortable. In our kitchen, we had a stove, oven, microwave, and refrigerator perfect for guests who stay for a longer visit and want to save money on dining out by cooking meals. The room also had a well lit work area with a desk for those guests who bring their work along with them.

Bonus!

One of the best features the hotel, besides the sweet suite, was all of the amenities that came included with the price. This included:

A free breakfast every morning! This was by far my favorite bonus. Each day there was a hot item available, such as scrambled eggs, potatoes, and even make-your-own waffles (plain and blueberry flavor – yum!). They also had cereal, oatmeal, boiled eggs, fruit, parfaits, yogurt, and juice. There was a ton of variety and it helped us save money for our other meals that we ate out.

Pet friendly! Since the TownePlace Suites Denver rooms are designed for a longer stay, they allow guests to bring their pets with them.
Market in the lobby – the hotel features a small store in the lobby with items such as food and ingredients for cooking in case guests forgot something. They also have free coffee available.

Another great bonus of the hotel is the location. Every place we wanted to visit in the city was no more than 20 minutes away by car, most being much closer than that. The staff were all welcoming, friendly, and helpful. When I left and realized I had forgotten a necklace my boyfriend had bought me, they quickly found it and mailed it back to me within a day!
