If you are a fan of rainbows, ponies, magical unicorns, or the color pink, then you will be thrilled to know there is a cafe in Bangkok devoted to all these things and more! I recently visited the Unicorn Cafe, located off Sathorn road near the Chong Nonsi BTS stop, and loved every minute I was there!
The Cafe
When you walk into Unicorn Cafe, you instantly feel as if you have just been transported to a magical world. The floor is rainbow; the walls are rainbow; even the ceiling is rainbow. From the decor, there is no mistaking that you are in the right place. In fact, fans of unicorns may give a little shriek of excitement when they see just how pink and girly the decorations are (I may have given a small shriek myself).
Plopped on pastel colored sofas all around the cafe are stuffed ponies and unicorns that customers are welcome (and encouraged!) to hold on their laps while they take in everything.
On shelves along one pillar sit My Little Pony figurines, plastic cupcakes and castles that customers can place on their table while they eat. Why not have a little unicorn tea party? They make great additions to any photos you may take of your food while you are there (and if you order a dessert or drink, you definitely will want to take a few pictures).
In one corner of Unicorn Cafe is a small store where you can purchase unicorn themed clothing, toys, and accessories. They even have large adult-size onesies that you can try on and snap photos in! Because who doesn't want to be a unicorn for a little while!
The Food
In addition to the colorful surroundings, Unicorn Cafe serves up some fabulous treats to its customers. I ordered waffles and ice cream and was served a plate of red and green waffles drizzled with honey, two scoops of vanilla ice cream, strawberries, bananas and a unicorn horn made from white chocolate. Talk about yummy! I washed it all down with a classic Thai tea which came in a cup with a unicorn cafe sticker – cute!
While I was too full for anything more, Unicorn Cafe does serve lots of cakes and rainbow topped cupcakes. They also have a full menu of both Thai and Western food. From what I could glance from other customers plates coming out of the kitchen, it looked pretty tasty. I also saw other people order rainbow shakes that came in fun star shaped glasses (large enough to share with a few people). On my next visit, one of those drinks is definitely on my list of things to try!

We came here too! By coincidence we stayed only a block away from the cafe, so had to walk by and visit! We didn’t get food though – only a thai iced tea 🙂 Too many other yummy options in Bangkok 😉
